CX/TX Competition Last - With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures.

Used Lakes guide for getting the perfect fit and it worked perfectly. Super quality shoe and a comfortable fit I’m really happy with my new cycling shoes.

Great for hot foot plus excellent customer service

I get a lot of problems with hot foot, and the wide fit CX219’s really relieve the pressure on my feet so it’s much less of a problem. Plus when I discovered a fault with my pair, Lake replaced them immediately via the excellent Velo 28 at Cramlington who gave me a cleat fitting on the new pair. (NB my normal shoe size is 5, I got the CX219’s in a 6 wide fit).

Perfect for wide feet

I have almost square feet so I've always struggled to find shoes that fit without causing discomfort. Lake's sizing guide and charts are really comprehensive and helpful to confirm that the shoes would fit both length and width-wise. I'd highly recommend checking them out before purchasing.

The shoes themselves are great. Very nice looking, comfortable and build quality is good. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is the lack of a second BOA dial, having just one can make it slightly difficult to get the fit right. I've only used them a handful of times so far but I've found myself having to tweak the dial mid-ride to get it bang on. Really happy overall - would recommend to anyone with very wide feet

Great fit and light weight

These wide fit shoes are generous around the toes so allow your feet to spread. They are very light with a stiff sole meaning you don't feel the cleat or bolts and have good arch support. Only down side is the single BOA needs a number of additional turns after you start your ride before the forefoot area is synched up.
