Most Asked Questions
Do I need to size up for thick socks?
We suggest sizing up by half a size if you plan to wear thick wool socks. Our Winter Last also provides extra volume in the toe box for warmth.
Are the closures easy to use with gloves?
Yes. Many winter shoes use oversized BOA® dials or pull-tabs that are easy to adjust without removing your gloves.
What cleat systems are these compatible with?
Winter shoes follow the same cleat patterns as our other models—either 3-bolt (road) or 2-bolt (MTB)—depending on the model.
Are these shoes insulated and waterproof?
Our winter models are engineered with varying levels of thermal insulation tailored to specific use conditions, effectively trapping foot warmth while blocking out cold air. Some models feature waterproof membranes with sealed seams, providing an added layer of protection to keep your feet warm and dry. While models with seam-sealed membrane construction offer excellent water resistance, they may not be fully waterproof in extreme wet or 100% submerged conditions.
Are they durable enough for extreme conditions?
Absolutely. Our winter shoes are built tough to handle cold, wet, and abrasive winter riding environments.
Can I use them for snow or fat biking?
Yes. They’re ideal for snow riding and fat biking, with soles that provide grip and uppers that shield against the elements.
Do you offer both road and MTB winter models?
Yes. We offer some winter shoes for both 3-bolt road and 2-bolt off-road pedal systems—so you can ride through winter no matter your setup.
